Camano Island artist Vicki Dodge,
whose work is shown above, is one of the many talented artists who will be
participating in "Art by the Bay 2003" on Camano Island, Saturday and
Sunday July 19-20. Sponsored by the Stanwood-Camano Arts Guild, the annual
event showcases artists and artisans from throughout the Northwest and
attracts over 2000 visitors.Camano Island artist
Vicki Dodge produces works in various media, including ceramics, fiber
arts, oil painting, and jewelry. She was a
full time potter, owner of the Riverside Gallery in
Everett, helped establish the Snohomish County Crafts Guild, and is
currently active in the vibrant Stanwood-Camano art scene. She and
her husband Mark run Quacky Studios, located on Camano Island.
Art by the Bay features approximately 100 artists presenting painting,
clay, stone and metal sculpture, pottery, photography, jewelry, glass,
fabric art, garden art, and more. Browse more than 70 booths in a combined
indoor and outdoor setting., and enjoy good food, live music, and a
children's play area.
From I-5, take exit 212 West on State Route 532 through Stanwood to
Camano Island. Bear left at the Camano Gateway "Y," and follow the signs
(right on Cross Island Road, and right on Arrowhead Rd.) Hours are
Saturday 10am to 7pm, and Sunday 11am to 5pm. Free admission and free
parking.
