From 1:00 to 2:00 on Saturday, July 16th, Annie Rapid takes the stage with her engaging stories, delivering songs with passion and conviction. A highly accomplished guitarist and singer, Annie spent the past seven years touring nonstop performing at hundreds of college shows, festival tours, TV and live radio appearances, and well known clubs throughout New York City and Los Angeles. Annie relocated to Seattle in January of 2005. From 2:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, July 16th, Campbell Road presents original and traditional tunes from Ireland, Scotland, and many other places around the world. The band’s four members play multiple instruments, including flute, whistle, bodhran, claves, fiddle, bouzouki, djembe, guitar, banjo, various percussion instruments, and vocals. Campbell Road has recorded three CDs, By Blood or Marriage, Bare Bones, and, In Spite of Wind & Weather. From 11:00 to 1:00 on Sunday, July 17th, The South End String Band, Camano Island's own "fiddle tune big band," comprises eleven local musicians on fiddle, guitars, banjos, dulcimers, autoharp, percussion, washboard, sandpaper and easel. The band plays music everybody knows, and peppers each performance with a generous helping of down-home wit and wisdom, served up by “spiritual advisor,” Skeeter Daddle. The South Enders will soon release a new CD, “Victims of Unbridled Ambition,” recorded on Camano Island. Their first CD, "Legends in their own Minds" went "rusty tin," (not quite multi-platinum) according to Skeeter. Art by the Bay includes well over 100 booths featuring fine arts and crafts, plants and garden art, a wide variety of great food, a children’s art participation area, and continuous live entertainment. Free admission and free parking, no ferries, no worries! Presented by the Stanwood-Camano Arts Guild.
